The Breakers in Newport

Named one of “50 Places of a Lifetime” by National Geographic Traveler, the 3.5-mile picturesque Cliff Walk” wraps itself along Newport’s spectacular Atlantic coastline with the crashing surf on one side of the trail and the magnificent Gilded Age mansions on the other. In 1975, the Cliff Walk was designated a National Recreation Trail. Parking is available along Narragansett Avenue.

After that head into Histortic Newport and enjoy the shopping, fine dining, museums, boat charters or the live music, plays, and comedy shows or U.S. history.

Or visit Fort Adams State Park that offers an exceptional panoramic view of both Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. The park offers a wide range of activities including salt water swimming, fishing, boating, soccer, rugby, and picnicking. Fort Adams is perhaps best known for its annual summer concerts when the Jazz Festival, and the Folk Festival draw thousands to enjoy the music and beautiful surroundings.

The fun never stops!

Newport is a quick 15 – 20 minute drive over the scenic Rt 138 Pell Bridge from our home.
